Supernatural Conception, Natural Birth
Before Jesus was born the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and Joseph to announce the coming birth. This is how the Gospel writer Matthew decribed Jesus' conception and birth."This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."MATTHEW 1:18-21
The writer of the Letter to the HEBREWS (ie Messianic Jews) wrote:
Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. HEBREWS 2:14-15
