Jesus The Spotless Lamb of God

When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming to be baptised in the River Jordan before the start of his ministry, he declared: Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. JOHN 1:29

In 1 PETER 1:18-21 the apostle Peter refers to Jesus as the spotless Lamb of God whose blood was shed so we might be redeemed - ransomed or bought back - from satan's clutches. " You know you were not redeemed with perishable things such as silver or gold from your old empty way of life ..... but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect."   1 PETER 1:18-21

The Lamb Of God Who Takes Away The Sins Of The World   ISAIAH 53:6-9

In these verses Isaiah describes how the Messiah as The Suffering Servant will take the punishment for the sins of others, not his own.
He will suffer in silence for sins not his own  v6
He will be led to the slaughter like a Passover lamb sacrificed for sin v7
