Christ's Triumph Over Sin, Death & Satan

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are pivotal because they reversed the disastrous results of Adam and Eve's disobedience in the Garden of Eden ensuring the ultimate reversal of satan's rebellion in heaven and on earth.

The Results Of The Cross & Resurrection Of Jesus Christ

When Christ was lifted up on the Cross at Calvary, his death raised human beings from their fallen state and offered hope in place of despair. The table below summarises the triumph of Jesus' death and resurrection.

In place of SIN, SUFFERING and DEATH, Jesus' death and resurrection brought the hope of FORGIVENESS of sin, HEALING of suffering and RESURRECTION to eternal life.

NOTE: Some Christian writers claim that healing is not part of the atoning work of Christ on the Cross. But they fail to see that pain and suffering were one of the consequences of Adam and Eve's disobedience. In going to the Cross, Jesus was reversing all three results of the Fall  -  not just two.
